Set in expansive and mature wooded gardens, the lodge has an ethnic design that incorporates traditional round buildings with thatched roofs for its guest rooms and public areas. The  90 room  Mara Sopa Lodge was sympathetically built  in traditional Maasai style and its location provides ample opportunity for game viewing within the park, which is only a short drive away. The forested slopes of the Ngama Hills provides one of the more likely places to view the Mara’s 20 or so black rhino as well as offering some great elephant sightings on the fringes of the forest.   Accommodation:Mara Sopa lodge has 90 spacious, cottage style rooms with en suite bathrooms and verandas.  Every room has a private, elevated verandah on which guests can relax and enjoy the views. Mini-bars are also available in each room along with 24 hour electricity.   Facilities:As is to be expected at a large lodge there are a wide range of facilities available including direct-dial telephone facilities as well as satellite television, the lodge has a freeform, fresh-water pool, which offers spectacular views over the valley and the guest shop stocks a wide selection of curios and gift items.
