It’s easy to lose your heart at Nimali Tarangire. Although easily reached by road from Arusha, it’s a world away from the everyday, with vast, larger-than-life landscapes filled with an abundance of life. From ancient, towering baobabs and huge herds of elephants often hundreds strong to more than 500 bird species and plains game aplenty, there’s so many reasons to fall in love with this incredible place.

Location

Nimali Tarangire is located on its own private reserve on the eastern border of Tarangire National Park, within easy driving distance of both Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge overlooks a seasonal river that’s dry for most of the year, surrounded by acacia trees and iconic baobabs, with private tented suites and intimate guest areas strung out along the riverbank, each with uninterrupted views of the wilderness.

Acccomodation

There are eight effortlessly elegant, tented suites at Nimali Tarangire. All suites have private decks overlooking the riverbed and en-suite bathrooms. Two cater specifically for families travelling together, with two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a connecting lounge area and private plunge pool. The décor is inspired by the landscapes around the lodge, with lots of contemporary, organic design blended with artisanal crafts, natural materials and rich textures. Local fabrics and recycled glass add pops of colour to the soft grey undertones, creating a calm, relaxing environment that guests can unwind in and experience with all of their senses.

Activities

Nimali Tarangire is located on its own reserve, allowing for certain activities like night drives and walking safaris that are not offered at our camps inside the Serengeti National Park. This makes it the perfect complement to a stay in either Nimali Serengeti or Nimali Mara, or both. We also give guests the chance to visit one of our nearby Maasai communities to learn more about this fascinating culture – something that is not logistically possible at our other lodges. It is also possible to arrange a private day trip to nearby Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, at an additional cost.

Family Tented Suite – Description :

Consist of 1 bedroom with a double bed + 1 bedroom with double/twin bed(s). The rate is based on 4 guests regardless of their age. Both bedrooms are ensuite with a connecting lounge in the middle + a private plunge pool outside. Each room has a possibility of adding either 1 adult or 1 adult + 1 child or 2 childeren. Any additional pax in a room will be charged per person sharing rate.
